Event Details: St. Joseph, Days of Civil War is a combination Civil War battle reenactment and Living History event. Both union and confederate camps are open to the public free from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday April 18th and Sunday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Sunday, April 19th.

The Civil War battle reenactment will take place at 2:00 pm on the 18th and 1:30 pm on the 19th. Over 300 hundred civil war re-enactors are expected. Units include cavalry, artillery and infantry.

There will be demonstrations from several vendors as well as civil war era items for sale.  This includes children's games from that period. Fun and action for the entire family.

The union troop’s encampment will be in the old fort behind the Nature Center near Terribles Casino. The confederate forces will be encamped adjacent to the battlefield next to Terribles. The vendors will be set up in tents at the grassy field in front of Terribles Casino.

Plenty of parking is available
and Handicap accessible accommodations will be provided.

Synopsis:

Saturday, Union supply train leaves Ft. Smith in St. Joseph, heading north along the Missouri River. Confederate troops attack the supply train. Union forces repel the attack.

Sunday, Confederates attack again and take control of the supply train.
